Bell Jet Ranger

The Bell Jet Ranger is the least expensive helicopter we arrange in Orlando, and for two or three passengers on a short transfer that is exactly where it belongs. Four seats, 113 knots, and a parts and operator network built up over more than five decades of production.

Bell built the original JetRanger as a single-engine light utility helicopter in the 1960s, and the Model 206 series remained in production for over four decades. Four passengers, straightforward handling and wide parts support have kept it in service across charter markets. [EXTERNAL_LINK]

Why the Bell Jet Ranger Fits Orlando

The Jet Ranger earns its place on the short legs: a hotel-to-airport transfer around the International Drive corridor, a connection from a resort property into KORL ahead of a turboprop departure, or a quick hop to Kissimmee Gateway from a property near the theme parks.

Four seats means three passengers and a pilot in practice. A family of four with bags heading to a jet needs a Long Ranger or a 407 to fit comfortably, and that is a better conversation to have before the quote than at the ramp.

MLB spring training in March generates genuine helicopter demand around Orlando’s satellite fields, and the Jet Ranger fits the budget for a two- or three-person group that just needs to move without traffic. The flights are short and the rate reflects it.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
