Orlando Cessna Citation Hemisphere Charter

Heavy jets bring larger groups into and out of Orlando, such as an extended family heading for the parks or a company team flying to the West Coast.

The Cessna Citation Hemisphere is a heavy jet. It seats 12 to 19 with a published range of 4,500 nautical miles and a cruise speed of 516 knots. The aircraft has a service ceiling of 45,000 feet, 100 cubic feet of baggage volume and an enclosed lavatory.

Textron suspended the Citation Hemisphere program before the aircraft was built, so it is not available for charter. The figures on this page are the last design targets Textron published, and your advisor can suggest a comparable heavy jet.

Orlando clients who want a large cabin for a long flight today can choose from jets in service, such as the Bombardier Challenger 650 or the Dassault Falcon 900LX, and your advisor will compare the cabin, range and cost of each for the trip you have in mind.

Flying from Orlando

The holidays, spring break in March and the big convention weeks are the busiest times for private flights into Orlando, so it pays to call early.

Aircraft this size usually fly from Orlando International, which takes the largest aircraft, and the operator plans the routing and the fuel for the day. Runway needs are calculated by the operator for that day’s conditions, and we confirm them with the operator ahead of the trip.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Charter Availability

The Citation Hemisphere is not on the charter market, which is why this page has no hourly rate. Textron Aviation put the program on hold before the aircraft was built and has not announced a date to restart it. If the Hemisphere does enter service and charter operators add it to their fleets, we will be able to quote it and will add pricing here. Until then, your advisor can suggest a heavy jet that is flying today, such as the Bombardier Challenger 650 or the Dassault Falcon 900LX.
