Couples marry all over the Orlando area, from Winter Park and Windermere to Lake Nona and the resorts around Lake Buena Vista. Send us the venue’s address, and we will work out which airport gets your guests closest to it. Orlando Executive is the usual choice for downtown and Winter Park, and Orlando Sanford International suits guests staying around Lake Mary. Flying the wedding party
Wedding guests seldom start from the same city. We can arrange separate flights for the wedding party, close family and out-of-town guests, each timed around the rehearsal dinner. For a summer wedding, plan for guests to arrive the day before the ceremony, and in the morning where possible, because afternoon thunderstorms are common in Central Florida from June to September.
Honeymoons and anniversary trips
From Orlando, the Bahamas and much of the Caribbean are close by. Nassau is about 300 nautical miles from Orlando Executive, and a light jet covers the Bahamas. Cancun is about 540 nautical miles, and San Juan about 1,040. A honeymoon in Europe calls for a long-range jet, since London is about 3,750 nautical miles away. Landing permits and authorizations are generally applied for after a trip has been secured on the aircraft schedule.

Orlando-Specific Patterns We Plan Around
Most private trips to Orlando use Orlando Executive, about three miles east of downtown, while Orlando International takes the airliner-size aircraft that larger groups need. Kissimmee Gateway is the closest jet airport to Walt Disney World and Celebration, and Orlando Sanford International serves the north side. Orlando Executive, Orlando International and Sanford have US Customs for private flights; Kissimmee does not. The airspace over Walt Disney World is restricted, so a Disney trip lands at an Orlando airport and finishes by car. From June to September, afternoon thunderstorms build most days, and hurricane season runs from June 1st to November 30th. The holidays, spring break in March and the big convention weeks book up first, so tell us your dates early.
