Luxury Events of 2015

Orlando is tourism central of Florida, and this is little list makes it clear. The heart of attractions, with Universal Studios, Disney, and Epcot hosting many events throughout the year, and that’s just the start. You can take a luxury private jet to Orlando to attend one of their many food and wine festivals, or to see some of the exotic cars at their Celebration International Car Show. Take a look at what Central Florida has to offer this year.

March 2015

Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival
(March 4th – May 17th, 2015)
Epcot is at it again this year, turning their theme park into a theme garden for the season of Spring. The Flower and Garden Festival has been going on for over 20 years, and with the constant additions to Disney, new characters for family photo ops pop up every year. There will be plenty of food options throughout the festival, both of international origin as well as healthy and gluten-free options. There are now over 10 gardens with varying themes from healing-and-health to Shakespeare, a Butterfly exhibit, and as the festival goes on, concerts and other forms of entertainment will be performed.
Arnold Palmer Invitational Presented by MasterCard at Bay Hill
(March 16th – 22nd, 2015)
Since 1974, the Arnold Palmer Invitational has been held at the Bay Hill Club and Lodge. It is a professional golf tournament, part of the PGA Tournament. Being an invitation-only event, only 120 players in the tournament are selected to play. This is the same tournament that Tiger Woods won between 2000-2003. You can go to the event and spectate, camera photography is allowed, and their will be beverages provided.
7th Annual Wine & Seafood Festival
(March 21st – 22nd, 2015)
A little bit out of the way of Orlando, but close enough that this festival should be mentioned. With a $2 donation to The Autism Society of Greater Orlando, you can attend the 7th Annual Wine and Seafood festival. There will be live entertainment and exhibits of local artists throughout the weekend. Seafood, wine, beer, and beverages will be made available. There will also be complimentary Winery tours and wine tasting.
Spring into Spring
(March 21st, 2015)
At the Artegon Marketplace, a shopping experience like no other is taking place. It almost feels like an art festival the way shopping works here. You can request a sculpture and watch it made as you wait. You can chat with a jeweler while they design your own personal jewelry. It’s an interactive experience that lets you immerse yourself in the design and development of the art while you shop.
Universal Studios Mardi Gras 2015
(March 21st – April 18th, 2015)
It isn’t New Orleans, but Universal Studios Mardi Gras still gets people moving with live concerts, street performers, and parades. They try to keep things family-friendly at this party, it is Universal Studios after all. That means the wild-factor is turned down a bit, but there’s still plenty of ways to have a great time. Lots of food, courtyard music, and obviously, beads.
Ventana Al Jazz
(March 21st, 2015)
For a night of Latin and Jazz, it’s the Ventana Al Jazz concert. There is no admission fee so come and bring the family, bring your friends, bring everybody, and enjoy a nice night outside! The concert is at Lake Eola Park, and starts at 5pm.

Celebration Exotic Car Festival
(April 9th – 12th, 2015)
Going on since 2004, the Celebration Exotic Car Festival features over 200 of the rarest and most exotic cars, race cars, and Hollywood movie cars in the world. Over 40,000 people turn up at the event for the races, the live concerts, good food, and of course to appreciate the luxurious cars being shown. All of the proceeds made are donated to several charities every year.
MegaCon
(April 10th – 12th, 2015)
Every year, MegaCon comes to Orlando and has a crazier turn out each time. A convention dedicated to comic books, pop culture, and authors (established and newly published), it’s a perfect opportunity for networking, doing business, getting noticed, or just having fun. There are exhibits and events every day and nearly every hour, there are two showrooms; one for independent artists and comic book publishers, and the other for the bigger names in the industry. Many celebrities in the comic book world also tend to show up. In addition, the cosplayers always turn the convention up a notch with some of the creative and genius costumes put together.
Spring Fiesta in the Park
(April 11th ? 12th, 2015)
This two day event at Lake Eola is one large festival for the entire family. Split up into different areas of the park, there are: exhibits for artists, crafters, and businesses to set up and promote their services, are food vendors, and then there is plenty of entertainment and activities. Last year there was over 100,000 people attending this event; with that kind of turn out, there is clearly something big going on at this fiesta. You don’t want to miss out.
Orlando Tech Week
(April 13th, 2015)
Tech week is a week-long celebration of technology. There will be many start up companies demonstrating their gadgets, and plenty of showcasing from those within the tech community. If you design or develop technology, if you have or want to start a business, this is a great chance to network and shake hands. If you’re just curious about the new developments coming up in technology, you’re also welcome to come and check out what’s going on. You never know when they’re going to develop hover technology.
The Art of Beer
(April 13th, 2015)
Back at it again in the Artegon Marketplace, this month they’re featuring beverages. This event is dedicated to the crafting of beer. There will be beer tastings going on, live music entertainment, and fun activities. As a bonus, this event is free, and you’ll be able to try many hand-crafted beers.
Winter Park Paint Out
(April 19th – 25th, 2015)
For the seventh year in succession, Winter Park is hosting a week-long event featuring outdoor artists that capture the landscape with oils, watercolors, and pastels. These artists are known as “plein air” artists, who capture the essence of the subject, usually static, but brought to life in their painting. The event is completely free, and will include demonstrations among other activities. There will also be a museum, sculpture gardens, and a gallery open to the public for free as well.

Jake's Beer Festival
(May 22nd, 2015)
The spring is full of events for people who want to have a good time, and this is definitely one of them. Dedicated to foodies and beer lovers, Jake’s Beer Festival is the perfect time to relax and have a great time. There are over 50 craft and specialty beers available at the festival, as well as chef-prepared food, and plenty of live entertainment. Join the fun and have a great time with friends and family.
Flag Fete
(May 23rd, 2015)
The largest carnival week in Orlando is returning for the 4th year in a row. The hottest artists will be performing at this concert event, and early bird tickets are on sale. There will be plenty of food and premium alcoholic beverages, and a few surprises along the way. The concert will be hosted by instagram sensations Majah Hype and Madman Smallie. Repticon Reptile and Exotic Animal Show
(May 30th – 31st, 2015)
This show has been running for ten years and always draws a crowd. The largest show in its industry, reptiles and exotic animals, some you may not have even heard of, are put on exhibit and presented to the public. You would think you stepped into an ancient world full of animals thought to be extinct or lost in prehistoric times. Have you heard of an Axolotl? Well, now you have.
Orlando Perfect Wedding Guide (PFG) Show
(May 31st, 2015)
Are you a blushing bride, or looking to plan an amazing wedding? The PFG Show in Orlando has all the tools you need to plan the perfect wedding. They have books, free materials, and everything you can think of, from tasting samples of food for your wedding to picking out your wedding cake. Plus, every bride-to-be gets $1000 towards their wedding in PWG currency i.e. you get a PWG gift card.

Come and celebrate the Caribbean culture with people of all walks of life. There will be live performances, native food from the Caribbean islands, and a kiddie carnival. For those of drinking age, there will be a tasting area for alcoholic beverages of the Caribbean.

Vans Warped Tour
(July 5th, 2015)
The Warped Tour is one of the most sought after music tours in Florida every year. An entire list of bands playing on different stages at different times throughout the day, it’s the best way to see some of your favorites, and some new bands, live and in concert. The line up changes per show, so it’s best to check the website for more information if you’re looking for a specific band.
Orlando Family Craft and Dance Expo
(July 11th, 2015)
At this expo, there will be multiple dance performances by different studios and troupes, as well as Zumba demos. The types of crafts covered are along a long medium, from pottery to jewelry. There will be potters playing on potter wheels, where you can learn to make a mini-bowl. You will also have the ability to take part in the art of cutting, polishing, and engraving gems. This event has free parking, and food and refreshments will be be available throughout the day.

Orlando Boat Show
(August 14th – 16th, 2015)
The largest boat show in Orlando happens this Fall at the Orange County Convention Center. Everything from ski boats to marine electronics and accessories are on exhibit at this show. There will also be a content to enter that can win you a Yamaha SX190, motor, and trailer. At the show, over 60 manufacturers will be present, along with 16 of the best boat dealers in Central Florida.
Share Our Strength's Taste of the Nation
(August 8th, 2015)
Join the nation’s top chefs and mixologists at Orlando’s greatest benefit to support one of the feeding programs of Central Florida, also known as.  Orlando’s Taste of the Nation: For No Kid Hungry. Last year, over 2,000 people were delighted to enjoy the culinary delights of chefs dedicating their time to this event. There will be appetizers, entrees, desserts, and spirits served. Along with all of this, there is a live music performance, a silent auction, games, and more.

Epcot International Food and Wine Festival
(September 25th – November 16th, 2015)
More than 25 of the top foodie cities of the world are featured at Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival. Ethnic cuisine samples and tasty treats from Hawaii to Belgium can be found at the event, along with many wines and beers. It’s a 53-day festival with so much to try, it could be impossible to only go for a day if you want to try everything. There are multiple events, seminars, exhibits, and tastings going on throughout the festival, so be sure to go online for registration.
Oktoberfest
(September 26th, 2015)
It’s October in September in Orlando, FL this year. They’re celebrating Oktoberfest the ol’ fashioned way with beers, brats, potato salad, and pretzels. It’s $5 to park, but admission is free. There will also be live entertainment available, dancing, contests, and more.
Orlando Magical Dining Month
(September 1st – 30th, 2015)
Get the chance to experience some of Orlando’s finest restaurants in September this year. For about $30, you can enjoy three-course meals from a restaurant that would usually cause your wallet to spontaneously combust. It’s a very rare opportunity for you to indulge in the finer things of the foodie world.

Halloween Horror Nights
(September 18th – November 1st, 2015)
Going on 25 years, the streets of Universal Studios, Orlando, FL are haunted by ghosts, ghouls, and recently, zombies. Haunted houses varying from meek to truly teeth-chattering are constructed around the park to give all visitors a good scare. Watch out for the street performers, and their victims, for you will be sure to see a few people screaming in fright. There are of course all of the usual rides open as well, but either way, prepare for a long night.

Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend
(November 6th – 7th, 2015)
Looking to build up an appetite before joining the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival? Then this is the perfect idea for you. Join the Disney Half Marathon event and run all the way to the finish line at the food and wine festival. It may be best to load up and hydrate before the run, but once you’re done, you’ll have plenty of tasty delights to replenish your fuel and spirit. Just be sure to drink some much needed H2O before you try the spirits.
Classic Albums Live - The Beatles - Help Tour
(November 7th, 2015)
Get ready, Beatles fans, because it’s time to come together in Orlando, FL this year at the Hard Rock. All during one concert, the classic sounds of the Beatles will be kicking off the Help Tour. This is not a concert for Beatles fans to miss.

Epcot Candlelight Processional
(November 28th – December 30th, 2015)
Every year, Epcot brings together a full orchestra and choir, as well as celebrity guests, to retell “The Christmas Story” live. The event begins late November, and lasts until nearly the end of the year. The Candlelight Processional is a long-standing holiday tradition at Epcot, and usually has some of the biggest names coming to perform as narrator. Last year, actors such as Neil Patrick Harris and Whoopi Goldberg were some of the many highlighted names.
Rock in the New Year
(December 31st, 2015)
Looking for a great way to ring in the New Year of 2016? Universal Orlando Resort really rocks with its non-stop entertainment at CityWalk. With 30-acres of live music performances and an all-you-can-eat gourmet buffet, it’s hard not to join in on the fun. At midnight, there will be a firework display and the classic champagne toast.
