Why the Beechcraft King Air C90GTx Fits Orlando
At 270 knots the C90GTx is considerably quicker than the early King Air 90s, which changes the calculation on Orlando regional trips. Nassau and Freeport sit inside a comfortable 90-minute leg from KORL, and the Turks and Caicos come into range for a lightly loaded trip. For snowbirds covering the Florida coast and Bahamas regularly, the pressurized cabin at up to 30,000 feet puts the ride above most of the afternoon convective weather that makes lower-altitude singles uncomfortable.
Range is the honest limit at 1,260 nautical miles, the shortest of the King Airs on this site. Trips pushing toward Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, or the Northeast with a full cabin need a 250 or a 350 instead. Inside the Bahamas and the Florida-to-Caribbean routing that defines most Central Florida demand, the C90GTx is right-sized.
